Default Xbox Live problems
Seems to me that Live is collapsing under its own popularity

Ever since Christmas Day things have been a right pig online. Before the 25th then connection between me and a friend in Virginia, U.S.A has been sufficient for lag free 5 v 5 games on FIFA. Since the 25th it has been woefull to say the least with extreme lag on all transaltantic games.

I did suspect that the EA servers were playing up to the usual level of performance but PGR4, COD4 and Forza2 have been a booger to connect to as well

Internet connection is good through the laptop based on speedtest.net results from East Coast U.S servers but anything on the 360 is struggling

Anyone else having issues?

Tried both hard wired and wireless

Microsoft are updating the servers, apparently there over loaded since new members got 360's for Christmas.

Cant even log in properly tonight, not a lot of people happy about it at the moment and understandably so when your paying £40 a year for the service!!

I sent a letter to maon about the situation ! tried to watch 300 last-night and it wouldn't download the update for the disc

Had probs too connecting to live. Just sits there and not connect. Hope they get that sorted soon

Cant get on COD 4 Nightmare !!
Just got one of these and it worked too UNLIMITED XBOX 360 LIVE GOLD on eBay, also, Xbox 360, Accessories, Video Games (end time 04-Jan-08 17:46:03 GMT)

I ha problems on Christmas day, but to be honnest since then i have been able to play COD4 and Halo online without any problems. Also no problems on need for speed apart from my crappy car

FIFA is shockingly poor even by EA stds but PGR4 wont even connect

This is shocking for a subscription service

COD 4 is a nightmare to connect to after 8pm. Dont seem to have any problems before that.

quite odd as i only had problem on 1 day between Xmas and New Year and that was only on COD 4 every other day has been fine.

Its been a right hassle to get a game on COD4 alsorts of problems with the servers....During the day when the yanks are in bed its seems ok or when they bugger off to mcdonalds.!!

Fell apart again

Bloody shocking performance

PS3 is running fine on same FIFA/EA servers so is COD4 but Live in comparison the now is cr@p

Saw you dropping in and out all the time last night. Do you connect OK as soon as the xbox turns on and its only in games it drops out?

I turned my xbox off and on and it seemed to sort the problems I had, still had a couple of drops last night.

Connects fine when i first power up the machine, falls on its **** when i ask it to do anything that may require to talk to the outside world
