Ok lol

try pluging your hdmi cable in to the tv that works and have the normal scart lead in the new tv then turn both on the ps will auto show the hdmi on the smaller tv (both pluged in to ps3) then change the settings on the ps to display the scart then keep them and unplug the hdmi and plug it in to the new tv you want it to work on turn off ps3 and unplug scart lead then turn back on and it "should auto set the hdmi for your new tv if not press the power button till it goes off and then turn back on.

as above, change the setting of your ps3 on the tv that workd to the lowest resoloution then it should auto change when you plug it into new one.

mine wont switch between the 2 like it should. Your ment to be able to plug it in turn on then off again then when you turn it back on it 2should go to default but has never worked unlike the 360 with just changes the second you change wires

was told it has something to do with the PS3 being full hd that you have to switch it yourself, can only comment on experience.

What lead were you originally using on your small LCD. If your swapping between scart and HDMI you are actually swapping video output ports. So you will have to tell the PS3 which one it is to use. So plug both into the PS3 and your new telly. Then change the setting to the one you want to use. I am presuming you were using scart on your old small LCD. And want to go to HDMI on the big one.
