I had this pre-orderd / delivered. To sum up I loved the single player campaign. Played it on (can't remember the actual settings) medium and am now going at it again on hard however me, my son (7) and a mate were having a go on local multi-player and the pick up and play factor was very good. Even my boy got into it quite well and had a few 2nd place finishes.

The maps are well contructed with indoor and outdoor sections. To be honest although I've had the game for almost a month now, completed it last weekend and I only went online today. In little over 90 mins I'm now a Lance Corporal racking up a fair few kills, nothing amazing but for the time I have with my 360 its not bad.

The fighting is fierce and frantic and their is also an element of tactical play, sticking with your team and rushing the enemy plus flash banging before multiple entry to a block or room.

I do miss the larger maps from COD3 though, tanks included. they gave a real tactical edge to the game but even without them I'm really enjoying the action.

I do look forward to spending more time with this game.

plus there are all the challenges to complete and when you reach Commander level (55) Prestige mode opens ,although,imo it isn't worth doin it

 

I have it for the PC and its Damn good but again the map size is pants - thing that gets on my wick is people who just run around with the noob tube (grenade launcher)

I still prefer battlefield 2142 mind

 

Ive postponed buying it as want to get to Brig Gen in 2142 first. I love this game and only started playing by chance when a mate gave me his copy hed never even opened. Been addicted since. Starting to play a bit more Titan at the mo and love the gunships. Still need to practice that loop the loop tho ala Blue Thunder

Damn you been playing some serious hours. Ive had it about 2 and a bit months and just got over 200hrs. A bit of a late starter. Annoying thing is my pc had probs with frame rate for first 6 weeks and I just thought it was my crap pc and me being naff (even though played CS at top clan level in UK). Since I sorted that (soundcard issue) Im now starting to own - cant be bothered to go back and start a new character though. I hope to make brig gen before Xmas then concentrate on Crysis and CoD4.

My 2142 name is also P1Fanatic. How do you find out what rank you are?

I found the ranking bit on the website. Im 43,142 lol. Isnt it just done on Global pts though - so basically whoever plays it the most is a big factor?

Been playing it on the PC - it's the nuts.

 

Sort of theres a globel score then your actual score - some sites list it in diffrent ways but if you go off EA`s site it uses your actual score and not the globel as its mega high that one
