DDR2 Memory question
I have a ASUS P5VDC-MX Motherboard the spec is below
ASUSTeK Computer Inc.
This says i can run DDR2 memory with speeds of 533/400mhz.
My question is,
Will faster ram still work in my PC but just run at 533mhz?
As i am looking to upgrade but the faster stuff is cheaper i.e DDR2 PC2-6400 6400 800Mhz 240PIN DIMM

Yes but will it work, because the faster stuff is cheaper.
I'm not expecting it to perform more than 533, just want to know if they will work.
