My wifes just bought me a DS lite with brain training can anyone recomend some good games?
i am looking for playability not graphics, I already have Worms and Bomberman on my list what else do i need?
I used to have a PSP and in the 24 hours I have had my DS lite i have played it for more time than the PSP I had for a year!

3rded... if you plan on getting more than 2G of games you might want to get one of the newer cyclods evo type, which can use SHDC cards..

Yep as above get the R4!
They are around £35 and are well worth getting!
Sega touch darts is very addictive!
And as for the best game.....you cannot beat Mario Kart

R4,R4DS-Revolution for DS-NDS,NDSL,CleanROM
Around £16 delivered from Deal Extreme/Volume Rate But there is a bit of a wait. They can be sourced in the UK for an inflated price.
http://www.volumerate.com/details.vr/sku.1202~r.DX
Put a MicroSD card in it, load your homebrew and MP3s onto it, put it in your DS and off you go.

you guys should stop pushing the r4
if the spring mechanism breaks, that's it you can't stick a micro sd in there and I couldn't work out how to open it up to remove the spring.
get the CycloDS evolution instead - there's no spring and the os is in firmware, so there's no need to copy the os into the root directory on the card - it's all free for romz

We've just bought a DS Lite for our daughter but my wife spends most of her time playing animal crossing.
If I got a 2GB card where do I find the games (torrents?) and is it just a case of plugging the DS into a PC and downloading the games onto the card.
Bit like PSP but without the faffing about with versions?

I was thinking about a DS for the wifey for xmas.
So let me get this right. You copy the software onto the SD card, plug the card into this R4 card and then the DS can play that software?

Exactly. They range from 8Mb to 256Mb in size and are padded to the nearest multiple (8, 16, 32, 64, 128 or 256Mb). The padding can be trimmed to fit more on your card.

Wish the PSP was that easy. Never managed to work out how to play backups on that.
Going to order one of those R4 cards with a 2GB mem card.
Nice one chaps.

Instead of doing one thing good (ie games) it did many things badly IMO.
DS lite has got great playability

Only thing is don't you have to reload a different firmware in order to play PSP back ups?
I didn't fancy it in the past because it seemed very easy to brick it.
