windows backup - from non-active user account
Quick question
A computer has 2 user accounts:
User1 is a restricted user account that isn't given access to window backup
User2 is an admin account and has access to everything
All day, User1 is logged into the machine
Question: Is it possible to schedule a backup from the User2 account, while User1 is still logged in ?

Im pretty sure you can schedule a task to run backup and select the Run As option within the Task Scheduler
I think this way you will have to create the task under the User1 account

You can create the task to run whether a user is logged in or not, so I guess you can do it this way, and just make sure the task is run with the user that has the rights

thought so
I logged in as User2 and created a backup task scheduled to run as User2
But when I got User1 to log in, the task doesn't run.
I'll have another look
