Demonoid gone- wherenext ??
Now that my regular haunt off Demonoid kooks like its gone and never to return just wonder if there is any other private torrent sites where you guys hang out ??!!
pity about demonoid as I really think it was one off the best and they never seemed to bother about ratio unlike some off the other private torrent sites.
so okay anyone able to share a particularly good site with me that provides all the latest stuff and again does not enforce the ratio rule too much ??!!

I've had problems accessing it unless I used a US based proxy as the CRIA (Canadian version of the RIAA) issued the ISP a takedown noticed, so they blocked all traffic from Canada (Their servers were/are hosted in Canada), but it does seem as though they have completely taken it offline now. Hopefully it'll come back up as I agree it was a rather good site.
I think most sites will be fairly strict about the ratio. A few that friends have suggested to me are araditracker and ilovetorrents
I'm sure others can suggest alternatives.

Okay cheers folks appreciatte the replies, newsgroups all new to me ?? is this a pay type service or completely free as per the torrent sites ??

Registrations through invitations are disabled indefinitely. The invite system is disabled too, and all invitations sent and not used are revoked and cancelled. Please don't send us emails or contact support to ask them when invites are going to be open again, or to beg for ways to let your friends in. We simply don't know when we will allow new users to come in and we will ignore any email regarding this matter.
No one can mate ... even the web master wont let anyone in.

I just use mininova, just have to be careful and read the comments etc so you know what your getting, and generally stay away from rar files if it is films

I use SuperTorrents and have an invite if you want one.

jono300 - the Supertorrents site does have a pretty strict ratio rule - though it's not too difficult to stay above 0.5 - which is what you need to do to stay on there. You get seeding bonus's as well (just having the files available, even if no-one is uploading from you).
Note that their rules state: "In the case that your ratio is not above .500 once you download over 5GBs, your account is deleted and you are banned."
If you're only after a leech site then Supertorrents isn't for you and I'd rather give the invite to someone else - but if you're happy keeping up a basic ratio then I'll fire the invite over. Let me know.

Yep no probs mate sound perfect and an ideal replacment for the much missed Demonoid.
, all the other places i have *seen* want more than that. Shame you only have one invite

Supertorrents isnt bad for keeping ontop of your ratio with their bonus's. Doesnt have the wide selection or speed of torrentleech but its still quite good.
quite difficult to get invites added to your account, think i need to up another 50gig to get 2 invites.
Did you ever get a invite off me to work for torrentleech scotsman ?. I remember sending them to a couple of people off here but they closed them around the same time.

The download speeds from there are amazing, and the choice is second-to-none - though I prefer the site design of Supertorrents, easier to read!
Re Supertorrents though - the only quick way to get the invites is to donate - which is always worth avoiding! The only reason why I got an invite is that I entered their lottery where I won 17gigs added to my upload ratio and then got an invite on the back of that.

Sorry to bump an old thread, but I am missing demonoid too, are there any invites going about?
I have(had) a 2:1 ratio on demonoid (60gb up, 30gb down)
I am heard Demonoid may move to russia soon.....
