i used money 99 for couple of years then upgraded to 2000- although more comprehensive its to complex for my needs but i could find no way of going back to 99.

anyway i have now moved my files to a new pc where i only have access to 99 so my 2000 files wont run- anyway i can get them to open in 99 or have i got to buy a copy of 2000 (my old 2000 cd is not around ) dont really want to spend on 2000 if i can run them on 99 which i belive is better anyway

help!

I wouldn't be surprised if Money 2000 uses a different file format to 99. Not seen any way of downgrading a file, so I guess you're stuck with a file in 2000.

Not really familiar with this programme, but I havent come across any software yet that you cant save as a previous version.

1) Open your file using the 2000 on your old PC or someone you know who has it if your old pc is no longer available
2) use File/Save as and see if you can save as a 99 file
3) Put on a disc and take to your new PC or E mail it there as an attachment.(&vice versa)

My apologies if you know this and have tried already.

Actually, just looked on my copy of Money 2000 and you can export to a QIF file which 99 might be able to import.

Chris.
