Premium Chassis - Intel® Core™ 2 Quad-Core Q6600 Processor (2.40GHz, 1066MHz, 8MB) [add £15.01]

A better case, probably more room, easier to upgrade and better looking.

It's possibly the G0 stepping, lower power usage and temps.

The MiniView Display is a defining feature of the "media centric" XPS 420 system. It is the auxiliary LCD integrated into the front bezel for convenient access to stored media, certain system functions, and standard Vista SideShow gadgets without relying on the keyboard, mouse or main PC display, and even responds when the system is in Sleep mode (<3 second "instant on").

The MiniView display is about 3" x 2" in size and features full colour, backlight controls, a resolution of 320x240 pixels, and media control buttons

And you only get MiniView if you select "Premium Chassis" ?

Correct!

---

So there you have it, its the same case, but you actually get this functionality.

I see Dell's selection process is as logical as ever.

Christ, why is it I have to go through 3 different selection routes to get the best price on a a PC of the same technical spec?

or does everyone click the "buy it now" button and pay £xxx too much?
