is anyone having problems updating their version of AVG at the moment? i'm trying to update but on the update box in the top left it keeps flashing between 'recieve answer' and 'closing 'connection' then after about 30 seconds it gives up.

so have i got some sort of virus preventing me downloading the current update? i've not altered anything on my Zonealarm firewall or settings but can it be this preventing it?

also my system restore seems to have gone up the wall at the same time. firstly when i tried a restore it said i didn't have enough memory and when i checked the drive it was full up, restarted the computer and the normal amount is freeand now all the system restore points have dissapeared.

seems a coincidence everything seems to be going wrong at the same time?

any tips on fixing any of the problems would be much appreciated, ta

Have you tried downloading Manually ?

Not sure about the system restore issue have you tried booting in safe mode ??
