Disc Burning in Vista
Hi,
I can't burn DVDs or CDs on my Vista Premium install except through Windows Media Player. ITunes says that no burners can be detected, and if I try and burn through the inbuilt Windows Explorer burner thing, it says no files to be burned to disc, even if I've dragged a load onto the disc. I think my Vista install is a bit busted, but I don't know how to repair it without installing from scratch, which means losing all installed programs and starting again.
Any ideas?
TIA.
Alex

Sounds like Vista doesn't recognise your dvdr drive. Is it a fairly old dvdr drive?
Does it work fine in XP?
Try a flash update for the dvdr drive, if available. The fact its workin in WMP means its not a software issue I believe.
