Do you know the name of the database file, or what type of file it is? If you are getting a message that the file is corrupt you may be able to use the database application to repair it

What sort of database is it??? Access, SQL ??? or some other Generic brand
Are the files still on the PC?
If the files are still on the PC then do you get an error dialog when you try to open them??? That is are the files still there but the database simply corrupted.

You always have to blame us IT guys - dont you!
It was probably some end user developed Access DB that no-one in IT got told about, so never got backed up cause it was on the HD of the machine, and not on the server.....
(Thats what happens to me mostly anyway - nothing personal)

I agree with Crispin! I work for the NHS and the amount of times this happens and we get the blame even though the user has implemented the database themselves and keeps it on their on HD. Then they have the cheek to say its IT's fault for not getting it back/keeping their own backup! As I say to everyone.....if its not on your User Directory back it up yourself!

Absolute cod mate. Find out for sure whether the necessary files were all based on your c drive, if it is indeed that the files have been deleted and not corrupted and come beck to me. I have used a couple of bloody brilliant file salvaging programs that have pulled files back from being fully deleted over 3 months agoeek: Happy to help if I can.
Cheers,
Nick

Sheeeeeeeeiiiiit Rich - not good I'd do as Daz suggests and blame the IT nerds
OR
go to your boss and calmly ask for the back-up files so that you can replace the data that you accidently lost then sit back and wait for the screams from the IT room
Hope you get it sorted
Sal.
