You want the same album cover for all of the tracks, correct? If so then try the following:
Use the info option on a track that contains the artwork you want to use for all of the tracks, copy the artwork that is displayed
Select all of the tracks, use the info option (say "yes" to editing multiple items if it asks). Then enable the artwork option, which means it'll apply this change to the selected tracks, select the artwork item and paste in the artwork you copied, then click OK. This should then apply the change to all the selected tracks.

Ok, tried my own advice and it ignored me, bloody thing!
Try this:
Copy the artwork you want to apply. Select all the tracks, use the Info option again, click the artwork checkbox, click on the artwork and delete it. Click OK. That should clear the artwork from all items.
Make sure all tracks are selected, use Info again, check artwork option again, paste in artwork, click OK. That should, hopefully, set the artwork on all tracks.
Looks like there's a bug somewhere in there that won't change artwork to new artwork if artwork already exists.

still no joy.found this but none seem to work
Why aren't songs with the same album art grouped together?

Where individual songs produced by additional songwriters maybe. You see the band name in column. Overwrite the same band name to these tracks (withouth the additional producers) and the album should no longer appear splitted in serveral sections. I not sure if this is the issue in your case.

If your problem is as I understand it, not at home so can't try it, select the songs right click for properties and click the tab which contains compilation. Had to do this with several of my cd's. let me know if it helps...
Ah the earlier link described that... ignore me
