Richard Burns Rally Online
I got a new copy of RBR from Game for £4.99 and have found out there is a mod to allow it to run online, run various other cars, inc L555BAT and the modern WR cars, and new stages.
However when i try and install the mod it goes all **** up in spectaculer fashion and the game wont load at all. I can lauch an application and see what people are doing in stages and what times they are doing but my game wont run at all
Anyone on here got this running or would know how to install the thing properly, guide is in Italian so no use at all
Thank you

I am good with installing mods onto rFactor but this is a different folder structure and i am either doing something very wrong or i am missing something.
Someone out there must have tried this and possibly succeeded

i couldnt get it to work either
i did find a large car installer program and had trouble with that.
i did manage to install a few new cars and update the physics files, which helped with the sketchy handling but i found that sometimes the rally school would crash

I went through a phase of installing new cars/sounds/liverys etc.
Most if not all I got via that Blackhole site.
Some worked straight away, others needed file renaming etc etc.
I got into the habit of backing up the entire directory before trying to install a car otherwise it seemed if it went wrong it took the whole game with it.
Haven't played it for a few months now although it remains one of my all time favourite games

yes it felt much better, i also had problems getting round the corners without crashing LOL
what i found, was that you had to drive, what felt like "slow" to get anywhere, although it looks "fast" in the replay.
i also found i couldn't drive with the DFP wheel set to 900 degrees, never in a million years, i was pulling the desk to bits trying to catch all the slides, iirc i switched it back to 200 degree mode (or is it 180 mode)

I use my MOMO Force (200deg?) and it transforms the game.
The best car I have loaded is the 2006 Focus with it's handling settings. I can easily beat my times in the standard Scooby with it.
I tend to only do the French stages cause I love the hairpins and tarmac

When using a wheel (momo, dfp), make sure you un-checked the dual axis for acc and brake, in the game controller window.
Makes left foot braking a whole lot easier.
Still the best rally game to date, requires you whole attention when playing
Oh, do the steering lag fix, can be found at blackhole motorsports.

I had to stop playing it as my wheel's brake pedal doesnt go fully 'off' so I could only ever get so far (not that far tbh) in the school bit
Logitech Momo Steering wheel with the spring in the brake pedal replaced with a squash ball for progressive feel braking
