I have an older Apple Mac (7600) but with a G3 card and OS9. I installed a PCI USB card months ago but until yesterday I had never tried to use it. I now have a digital camera but plugging the camera into the computer produces no results. I know the camera is OK and I have checked that 'USB Mass Storage' extensions are installed. Does anyone know what to do next? I guess I need some way of testing the USB card but I don't have any other USB devices other than the camera.
HELP!!!!!!!!

What camera is it?
When I borrowed a mates Kodak something or other in addition to the USB Mass storage driver I had to add the camera drivers before it would be seen, so this could be the problem.
Do you have any Macs there with USB keyboards or mice? if so then you could try borrowing the keyboard/mouse and plugging it in and seeing if it works, this should tell you if the card is ok

Apologies if this is obvious but have you installed any extensions for the card? The reason I ask is that if its a Belkin USB card they have two types of packaging for the card. One is specifically for the Mac and I believe has the Mac drivers in it, the cards are the same though. I bought a couple from a Mac supplier but they were for PCs. I found the driver on the net somewhere I believe, let me know if you need it. I have it on my home machine.

Probably need to come clean and admit I bought a s/h USB card of an internet auction. It came without drivers although the documentation seemed to indicate you just needed to plug it in and it would work. Will this not be the case? If you had some drivers or could tell me where I could find some I could try them.
