Question Is there an app which disables clicking on parts of screen ?

We use an app at w*rk that has a refresh button which if accidentally pressed deletes some important update times. The button can't be altered in the app preferences, but is there another app I could run in the background which would not allow mouse clicking in a defined area of the screen, obviously the bit where this button is ?

TIA

PS - It's an old Windoze machine, possibly running 98 or 2000

Why cant you just do a ctrl+alt+del or <windows key>+L and lock the machine whilst this process is running?

It needs to be running all the time and used by many operators. The ability to avoid accidental clicks of this single button is all I'd like.

Other option is to just have this program running, I cant remember the specifics and you may have to dig around but you setup windows to run a program other than explorer by setting shell=<.exe name here> and that means only that program runs and no other menus/options are available.

Unfortunately, the app needs to be operated. Files are created with generic file names and need specific naming, thus the use of the file renaming button. After use they need deleting too.
