Default Minimising all open Windows

Hello all.

Quick yae or nay question:

Years ago.... there used to be a keyboard command to minimise all open windows on the desktop.

In Win XP is there still a way to do it?

TIA

Right click on the task bar at the bottom. Select 'Show the Desktop'.

Windows key and M does it.

Windows - shift - M to restore them all again.

While we're at it, can anybody else suggest any other useful, but overlooked, Win XP key commands?

I'm sure these must be loads...... (or is that the subject of another thread?)

Also from the right click select Toolbars - Quick Launch and in amongst the toolbars on the bottom left next to start there should be an icon for Show Desktop.

• Windows Logo: Start menu
• Windows Logo+R: Run dialog box
• Windows Logo+M: Minimize all
• SHIFT+Windows Logo+M: Undo minimize all
• Windows Logo+F1: Help
• Windows Logo+E: Windows Explorer
• Windows Logo+F: Find files or folders
• Windows Logo+D: Minimizes all open windows and displays the desktop
• CTRL+Windows Logo+F: Find computer
• CTRL+Windows Logo+TAB: Moves focus from Start, to the Quick Launch toolbar, to the system tray (use RIGHT ARROW or LEFT ARROW to move focus to items on the Quick Launch toolbar and the system tray)
• Windows Logo+TAB: Cycle through taskbar buttons
• Windows Logo+Break: System Properties dialog box

The handy one that I use is the key next to the RHS windows key which gives the equivalent of a right click with the mouse (which can also be accomplished with shift+F10)

A couple of others...

Windows + L - switches users (log off without closing your applications) / locking your computer.
Windows + space - (in Vista) brings the gadget bar thingy to the top.

Also in Vista, Windows key and numbers will launch (in order) the shortcuts you have in the quicklaunch toolbar.
