Default Forza 2 problems

Having a lot of problems! About a month ago the game started showing some strange GFX problems, textures etc were up the wall. Then shortly after it started to crash, just lock up. Now it does it on 3 or 4 tracks everytime I try and drive them..

Anyone else had this problem? The disc is perfect - been stored in my xbox360 since purchse

Did a quick google and it threw up all sorts - not really got any idea where to take this problem!

No, everything else is ok. It always happens on the same tracks, at the same point.

Try clearing the hd cache, bit of a wild guess but it may work.

To perform the function, access 'memory' in the system blade, and then highlight the hard drive. Now press: Y, X, X, LB, RB, X, X. The following message should appear: "Do you want to perform maintenance on your Xbox 360 storage devices?"

If you initiate maintenance, the hard drive's cache will be cleared, including all software updates.
It will not affect your save games.

i had this, but it was due to me moving the xbox while switched on, and scratched the disk.

i polished the disk as best i could and its ok now.

might be a dirty laser if the disc is OK ???

Dazza, I don't want to worry you but my Forza game went into like a blueish greenish hue over the game ( I also noticed it was like this on xboxlive) when I temporarily went into that. After doing this about 3 times over a period of a week my 360 crashed and would give only a black screen on boot up but no red ring of death. Packed off to MS for "refurbishment" and due back soon (turn around about 3 weeks). Paid £80 for the privilege got another years warranty and from what I've heard it might need it..........

Its a bit like an Alfa or TVR I suppose, when it works its great!!

I e-mailed turn 10, I had a reply saying they dont "support" the issue and that I have to take this problem to Microsoft. I guess they dont know much about consumer law then...

Most of my mates are PS3 (spit) owners or are shootemup players.. but I have just spoken to the retailer and they are posting a replacement disc out today.

LOL

I have been a Sony man for 8+ years, however when the PS3 was delayed again I went for a 360. The PS2 sat in the corner gathering dust very quickly!

I was considering a PS3 as well but then I saw the mrs looking through the yellow pages for lock smiths and thought it was a bad idea
