My mate is convinced she has a virus on her laptop. She uses Norton 360 which is up to date and a scan has been done and no virus come up.

I don't believe she has one but to put her mind at rest can someone recommend me an online checker?

Are just about the best of the best when it comes to online scanning IMHO.

 

I use pctools anti virus, however for the last coupleof days I keep getting a spyware popup warning me I may be having unauthorised copying of my files and a link to winvirus to download, have run the virus checker a couple of times with no joy, any thoughts???

What about running a spyware / adaware programme ?? use Spybot search and destroy myself after reading a lot off good reviews on both here and the net in general.

almost sure that will get rid off the problem as its almost certainly a false warning just trying to get you into visiting the pop up link and purchasing there software.
