Just recently some companies have got hold of my email address and I have started to get loads of rubbish emails

I used to use Spam Inspector by Giant Software, but Microshaft bought them over, so I am not sure what is the best. Maybe if you could get an older version or something.

Move to Gmail, next to zero Spam, free, great webmail and you can pick up your email with Outlook Express from anywhere.

Stop using outlook express for a start..

Thunderbird works really well and has virtually the same user interface as OE so nice and easy to use..

Needs a little training but spot on after a while.
Hardly misses a trick now.

I use Mailwasher Pro and it nukes all spam before Outlook even starts, very useful.
The next post on this thread will be 'stop surfing ****'

Just downloaded mailwasher pro myself, but not had a chance to have a look at what I am supposed to do next ??!! the 1200 odd emails in my outlook express inbox ( yep I know !! ) have been detected by mailwasher pro and are now divided up in different colours, ie. one colour for spam, one for genuine email etc, have not ticked anything to alow / dissallow yet, I take if I tick the spam detected ones my outlook express inbox will no longer receive emails from these particular senders again and they will also be deleted from my outlook express account or is it just possibly future emails from the same add ??

how well does the programme actually work ?? surely the senders off spam use different email addresses each time so just wonder how the spam actually gets prevented.

bit confused by it all if all if anyone can give me a quick run down on the above points before I get the chance to have a look thru the actuall user instructions/ faq`s thru the actual site.

cheers

been using Spam Arrest - Take Control of Your Inbox for a long time.

Given that I own a couple of domains I was getting about 20k spam emails a month. . . . had to take drastic actions.

Only get 4-5 a week now.

Another vote for G-mail here, seems to get rid of most of it!
