Just got Max Payne for ps2 and all i can say is fantastic!
Excellent graphics and it seems a good storyline.
Good choice of weapons(so far,pumpaction shotgun,desert eagle,twin pistols,sawn off shotgun,petrol bombs).
Good feature of "slow-mo"mode where its a bit easier to target the villans,and a sniper shot where the camera follows the bullet.

Also got 007 (what have they done with the controls??)+
Metal gear solid 2.(not had chance to play it yet,too busy with max payne)

Finished Max Payne on the PC and it was terrific, especially the last level.

Bullet time is a great idea!

Heard Agent Under Fire is pretty good - it'll be interesting to hear what you make of it.

Not really played 007 yet!
Had a go at Metal gear 2,but it can become confusing after ive been playing max p and half life,due to different controls!

The thing that gets to me on 007 is the controls,but after a while i suppose i will get use to them.

Sent your package Daz you should get it by the end of the week.

Is Max Payne similar to GTA3?

It's one of the games I'd like to get, and I loved GTA3.

Blubs,I think its done by the same people who did gta3.
The graphics are fantastic but the controls take a while to get use to.
There are some good ideas like,walking into a room and hearing someone whistling,only to find the guys on the toilet!Bang on the door and he'll say "hang on i'm nearly finished",when he opens the door BOOM!!

Its like GTA3,as in your view is behind max,lots of good weapons,very blood thirsty,and a very good storyline.

My advice would be buy it or rent it to see if you like it.

Since i got Max Payne i havn't really played my other games ,they include GTA3 ,Metal Gear 2,ICO etcetc.......It says something
