Have you any evidence it's getting bigger? Surely you would have to see the sales volume for 360 and Wii for the same length period to make a valid comaprison. That graph shows nothing for anyone (even though in reality we all know Wii is outselling everyone!)

ok so I take it back .... on a worldwide sales totals the gap between the 360 and PS3 is only growing slightly in the favour of the 360 but it's only a tiny amount month on month.

the website that the first pic came from is good for looking at the stats and allows you to allign the launch dates to get a better look.

As for the sales, I suspect it's the software side that's hurting Sony at the moment. Great machine, but without games it's just an expensive paperweight. When / if they finally get some decent stuff running, I'd expect to see that gap shrinking again. I just hope it doesn't go the way of the PSP (I'm still waiting for some "killer" games for mine)...

Don't see the point of consoles anyway when we've all got PCs. Plus the games are cheaper with better graphics.

 

True but it gets expensive having to upgrade the PC every couple months for it to cope!

 

My xbox 360 cost less than my last pc graphics card on its own, plus I can play it in comfort in the living room on my 42" plasma, with full cinema surround sound. I also don't have to install anything, worry about downloading endless patches etc... The pc doesn't come close to that experience.

I think the PSP and PS3 have both suffered from the fact that Gran Turismo Mobile and 5, respectfully, keep getting delayed. I imagine PS3 sales to shoot up once it is released.
