Default Sega Rally Revo - on next-gen platforms

the reason I post the link is...

...graphics are cool, but they're deforming the surface of the track as you drive over it - eg. your car will leave a groove through the mud / snow / dirt and the suspension reacts to these grooves, making each lap progressively harder. Thought it was a cool feature.

simply put it's Sega + Rally = great game.

I've always enjoyed their driving games.

It's what Motorstorm promised but didn't actually deliver!
Can't remember how many hours I spent playing Sega Rally on my Saturn.

Sega GT was so underrated on the Xbox as well

in part two of that demo, the snow tracks are sweet

I think Sega have really pushed the boundaries out here, was just reading today EA saying that its not just pretty graphics that make good games the developers need to push the envelope in other areas.

Sega definately pushing in the right direction with this one i think. Deformation of the terrain, excellent idea

that's a bit ironic for EA to say that after their multitude of samey sequels

Yes, finally next gen Sega Rally! The demo is really good for some old school arcade fun. Can't wait to get this rocking with the wheel.

Mmm, I know it's supposed to be arcade like, but I was still disappointed, can't really nail the reason why, but thanks to the demo this one's not on my Christmas list.

You need a faster connect Jack (mine downloaded in about 10 minutes). It plays just like Sega rally with nice graphics. No more, no less

I might wait for it to appear in a bargin bin somewhere..

hope the position of my new console isn't causing a problem for the wireless ? under the tv seems to be a bit of a black spot !

Have to agree, don't like the idea of laps (prefer the original style),handling feels floaty (not the best description i know).
Bloody shame as i was looking forward to this game.

i think the problem with not having laps, is that it would be harder to show off the track deforming

It's "Sega rally". Of course it's going to be arcadey. It's based on an arcade machine.

That's like buying the Lord of the Rings game and complaing that it's a bit too Orcy

To be fair i've only used the pad whereas the other 2 instalments were played (at great expense in the arcades ) with a steering wheel so perhaps the feel would be better.
Problem could be that it's a far cry away from all the anally retentive driving games out there.
It would have been nice to have been given an entire tarmac track as well.
