Question How to stop Flash adverts?

I use Firefox and Adblock to get rid of the annoying adverts on most of the web sites I like to visit.

However some of them have started using the Flash Player to show adverts, most annoying, short of removing the Flash plug-in from the browser as it is useful sometimes, is there any way of getting rid of them?

Thanks in advance

I just use my £5.95 mcafee security suite, stops pretty much everything dead and has a site advisor

I've got one machine with adblock that allows you to block flash and another with adblock flash that uses a blacklist downloaded and haven't seen a flash ad for ages.
Also has a little "block" tab on flash that does appear so dead easy to add a block.

Not sure on the difference between those plugins but will be moving to the plus one as the blacklist download works great.

InvisibleMan, your so transparent - if you don't like the idea of someone blocking your flash site, then do a version in html / javascript

erm okkkay im not sure how to react to what seems an unnecessarily sharp tone...i only thought i'd make it a little brighter by having a little swf logo rather than plan text.......

Oops, sorry mate - that wasn't my intention

If you re-read my last post, you'll see a slight "tongue in cheek" phrasing, notably the 1st and 4th words

ah i see, not used to being called by my full name you see, most just ignore me....

anyways learning on the fly so my code's all-2-**** and things dont work right with ff and obivously need to work on the compatibility requirements. On the whole i do find some of these corporate animations annoying but you've gotta follow suit else your site looks boring
