Scoobynet Forza 2 Weekly Challenge - Week 3
Ok so week 3 here we come.
I thought I'd stay with a smaller track. This Circuit causes me some trouble, with a first corner that takes a bit of guts and then a technical section to show off your tuning skills.
Suzuka East in the R4 class #46 Fairlady Z.
This is one of the arcade Time trials so it's only a few runs away is you don't have the car in career.
Forza Motorsport 2 - Forza 2 Scoreboard
So....... let the games begin

oh hoes, RWD....
Do I stick with my "no aids" rule (although the time on the score board shows I used TCS in the time trial ).
As my 360 refuses to lay down and die I shall give this ago tonight

oooohhh... not sure about a test of tuning skill, but definately a test of smoothness. This one will be interesting. Predict a significant advantage in the wheel!

First go with the car around this circuit in Time trial mode
00:48.206
That was the standard setup and wheel with TCS and ABS. Tuning could sort the backend of this thing out as it takes a lot of throttle control to keep it smooth and fast.

Is East the one where you start on the grid and do the left-right-left-right corners or the one where you start on the far end of the circuit after the spoon curves?
If it's the first one I'm in trouble
If it's the first one I'm in trouble

I can normally do that first double right turn Ok, its that last one where you cut back onto the main straight that catches me out.

Ok, so I take it all back
upsidedownmark: 48.088 (gonna shout about that before everyone else gets in tune and shoves me down the leaderboard)
ABS only, manual box, pad. Traction isn't so much of an issue as it's very fast - no trying to get away from slow corners.
Turn 1&2 ok - once you work out the formula
middle bit - exercise in patience with the throttle
The key to the whole lap is (IHMO) the last corner.
Was bashing the low 50's and struggling for ages, then took a slightly different approach to the last turn, and knocked 2 sec off the lap!

Had a quick go. Usually I can get pretty close within 10 laps but beJebus!!
Even resorted to trying it with TCS (which helped) but I ain't going to be in contention this week!

I was gonna have a go but haven't unlocked the car! Did 3 more exhibition races and still didn't unlock it. I will do a couple more tomorrow and give it a go hopefully.

My fingers are numb, my back hurts and my eyes are bloodshot. Bloody good fun though. Despite playing this for hours tonight I couldn't get below 48.2.

I had a go last night and after some tuning I got down to 47.796.
This morning though looking at the score board I've realised I'm in the wrong Fairlady Z So I'll have to redo it all over again either on Sat or Sun in the #46 Fairlady.
