destruction derby type game to run on XP?
little nephew is heavily into smashing the 5hite out of all his toy cars at the mo so want to get him a game that he can play on the pc at home.
only really know of destruction derby but being the age it is it looks like it doesn't run on anything later than windows 98. really need something that just runs straight off without having to download stuff to make it go, any ideas or games to look at?

try midtown madness / midtown madness 2, my lad loved this when he was younger, get the cheat to open up all the cars.
And he can have loads of fun in city cruise mode, just drive the whole city no time limits etc.
Can play loads of different cars including taxis / buses / ambulances / fire engines etc, and he can crash into whatever he likes too, and get chased by the police
The big plus is the no time limit or racing, as when younger my lad found it hard to follow the courses and directions (you can still do these things but with the city cruise option you dont have to)

cheers guys, just bought the midtown madness 2 off ebay and will have bid on the flatout game aswell.
should go down well been bashing crap out of other cars on TOCA so he might be pleased to step it up a bit
been looking at some cheapy steering wheels (buttons on the wheel instead of pedals) any downside to these?

Flat Out 2 is superb - race mode, stunt modes and destruction derby mode - one of the most fun driving games ever !! I bought a Logitech Momo steering wheel off ebay for about £40 which has pedals, but you can alter the controls so you have throttle / brake on the paddle shift for those short-legged players.
