Plasma TV Advise
Morning all,
new house on the way - so obviously a fancy tele was a must!
After a lot of looking about, and finally making a decision i went for the SAMSUNG PS42Q96HD 42" HD Ready Digital Plasma TV. I am just wondering if this was the one to go for?
I have since been thinking - should i have gone for a 50"? ill be approx 4-5 metres away from the tele. The one i was looking at is the LG 50PC1DA 50" High Definition Digital Plasma TV (only £150 more than the samsung 42"), the 50" version of mine is a little out of my budget.
It seems the general spec on the samsung is better, but i am just wondering if you had the choice if you would go for the bigger lg, or the small samsung?
thanks all.

I have the LG 50PC1DA 50" is it's great, really pleased with it. I went from a 42" non HD to the 50" and sit closer than your 4/5 meters and it's lovely to watch (and play on). Don't know anything about the Samsung so can't compare but very pleased with the LG.
My Choice was 1080p 42" or 720p 50". Every time I walked in to Curry's the LG was the one I looked at For me it was the right choice...
Non exciting pic of it wall mounted

Surely if you've gone for it, there's nothing you can do now.
If i had the choice, i would get the 42" Viera again, over a 50" LG anytime. Every man and his dog who knows about Tvs can't be wrong.
Why not get your Samsung calibrated too, plus some good cables. You wont regret getting it then.

Hello,
My Choice would of been the Samsung as it's the best TV out there for your £££ pound for Pound. FYI a Samsung really is a Sony apart form the badge as they all come out of the exact same factory. as far as I know Sony and Hitachi are on Par with Technology but Sony work out a bit cheaper. Inside info as I used to work for Hitachi Europe.

I don`t know what budget your looking at, but if you Can, go for one of the new pioneers. Awesome displays, I`ve not seen anything that good, But that could be down to how they are displayed. If I was allowed to spend that much on a flat screen and allowed one bigger than 32", that`s where my money would of definatly gone.
