Why My PC
suddenly not go past it's POST screen?
I can't even get into Setup
We had a power cut here but pc on a ups so not affected but when I went back onto it, it couldn't access internet, so I rebooted. Then it wouldn't go past POST
Gah!
Checked wires, components seated properly etc but nothing...
Any ideas?

Possible corrupted BIOS. Disconnect power, Pop out the battery and short the reset jumper on the motherboard for 10 seconds(see the motherboard manual to find its location). unshort the jumper, pop the battery back in, reconnect power and fire it up; Will have to go into setup and reset the date/time etc (XP sometimes doesn't like going back in time 
)
