Default Philips Streamium

Anyone got one?

Wifey wants to be able to listen to Radio4 programs that you are able to get via BBC - Radio 4 - Listen Again page but not anywhere near her computer.

So

Got her one of these things. However, reading the blurb its not all that clear so may want to return it and as yet haven't opened it.

Will it do what she wants? If not, what will?

Ta!

Surely anything that would play realplayer streams would have to have IE, and be PC based?

What about an FM transmitter with an input from the PC soundcard?

I must be missing something here, you are an IT bloke?

I am sort of IT but dont know everything

It depends where the software in the streamium picks up its feed. If its at the output level, then in theory it'll work, but if its before then it might not. Hence the question really

There's usually some sort of serving software on the PC. The question is can you find one that will deal with rm or windows media streams.

You might need to do some fiddling to make it work...

twonkyvision seems to be able to be made to work, and it's compatible with your streamium. Basically you need to create a local shoutcast server. Should be simple for a man of your talents
