Default IT course recommendations please.

Hi everybody.

I am currently between jobs and I am trying to increase my chances of employment both here and abroad.

Can anyone recommend a good IT course that is currently in demand please? (I have no formal IT qualifications and only normal user experience with XP etc, no programming or anything)

I have been looking at MCSEs etc

I have also looked at what recruiters are asking for at the moment but there seems to be a wide range of skills being asked for.

I have a couple of thousand for the course and would like the course not to take too long, i.e. not equivalent to a BSc or anything.

Any suggestions chaps?

Thanks for any help

Brett

Brett - not being rude, but.....what do you want to do in life? I mean that as an open question.

MCSE etc does cost a few pennies - but may be able to advise a few good ideas.

I am a MCSE / MCIPT, C.I.S.S.P - I'm an Information Security dude. This is were the market is in need.

If you want to PM, please feel free to.

UNIX is an in demand skill at the moment. Have you considered looking into LINUX, AIX, HP-UX and/or SUN Solaris?

Networks Admins are always being advertised in the Job center, why not have a look into a Uni course ? Might get it free if your claiming ?
