Laptop battery conditioning ??
Just got my new HP laptop yesterday. It comes with a Li-on battery and all the toys. What's the best way to maintain battery life. Run on battery all the time, then charge when low. Run off mains all the time when poss. Or because it's li-on it doesn't matter ??
Also, does anyone know if McAfee 2007 will work on Vista premium ??
Thanks,
Steve

I never leave my laptop charging for longer than needed or remove the battery.

I'd personally run Nod32 instead of McAfee. I gave up on that product on XP after having so many problems with it
For an antivirus, Nod 32 is smaller, faster, and performs better in the independant tests than McAfee.
As far as the battery goes, I use my laptop on power for 7+ hours a day. Been doing that for a couple of years now and the battery is still fine (will run for about 3-4 hours).

I spent years winning independent reviews for Dr Solomon's then McAfee, detecting a set collection of viruses is easy. At Dr Solomon's we even had an undocumented 'Review mode' that kicked in when it was obvious that the product was being tested, find an old copy of Findvirus and run it with /rm
Find an Antivirus product that you're comfortable with, don't take too much notice of reviews.
