new virus on machines with sql

Default new virus on machines with sql

anyone know if any av houses have got a fix for this symmec vanbot virus that attacks anything with sql server?

have stopped it, only for a variant to pop up the next day. This has been going on for a week now

You could try Submitting the iffy file to VirusTotal, they send you a list with the name and the AV detecting it

yeah done all that but they havent got the originator yet, hence new variant each day

Any SQL Server (or any database) that sits unprotected on the Internet deserves it. Can't you lock it down? Why is it visible?
