I'm using Windows Live One Care until something better comes out. Its a 90 day trial so gives me a bit of time to find something else

It only allows programs is recognises to access the internet, if you don't want one to then you just block it. Still can't block all though.

Zone alarm are working on a new one, but it's not available yet. I'm just using the built in vista one for the moment.

I wouldn't touch the McAffee firewall with a barge pole. I made the misfortune of buying it (for an XP box) and had no end of trouble. Ended up binning it and using Zone Alarm pro instead (which is infinitely better and uses far less system resources). Norton is just as bad (if not worse).
