Just noticed that there seems to be loads of places opening up their PS3 preorders now. Has anyone preordered or do you think there will be plenty at launch - seeing as its nearly £500 with a game!

I'm tempted to order at Amazon or somewhere that doesn't take the full amount before shipping it... I have an Xbox 360 but the noise when playing DVD's irritates the hell out of me so a quiet Blueray job sounds quite good!

Still its a lot of cash really....

Alternatively, just get a standalone player for around £300 and it'll be quieter than either console

I do love the 360 but have heard reports that its still loud with the HD add on.... Also mine is a day one version (only had to go back once!) so I don't know how confident I am that it will last *that* much longer.....

I suppose I could pre-order 2 and if things turn out like X360/Wii I might get mine for free by selling one on eBay!

(plus a shiney new gadget wouldn't be the worst thing in the world)
