could it be dodgy?

it mostly likely is, and if they are sending spam emails to get you there, then that is even more reason to run a mile.

Personally, if you are going to pay, I would buy from a proper retailer. There is not that much of a margin that these people make. At least you will know your details are safe, and that the license code is not going to be revoked as a fraud at some point.

I'd really want to make sure that my money was not going to fund organised crime for dodgy spyware infested rip off software...

...but then there is always the free option.
