email worm deteted- help
Help !!! just done a virus scan and found I have the following on my pc :
WIN32.Zhelatin.k email worm.
keep getting emails in my inbox that say your message could not be sent because off this , that and the next thing, now I know from the emails that these emails claim to have been received by that it was not me that originally sent them, I take it this is where the above email worm comes in ??
so okay my a/v software does not give me an option to get rid off the virus so what now ?? is there an easy way to rid the pc off this particular virus ??
what effects will I find from this being on my computer apart from my inbox filling up quicker ?? any other things it will do to my pc ??
the only other thing I have noticed recently is that my pc can be sluggish to respond, whenever I right click on a picture to save it I find the pc will lock up- is this connected with this virus ??
bit concerned about all this - help !!!

You're probably an XP user as well - don't worry. Before you scan again with the AV / worm remover - turn off the blinking system restore as 99 times out of 100 you would have backed it up at sometime and the virus would have populated. Once you turn it off and then do a clean sweep (AC) then turn the system restore back on and then create a restore point. XP's restore point is great for the home user - it's a pain the in the ALPHA ROMEO SIERRA ALPHA when you have a virus outbreak.
