Question Problems with new optical drive

Hi

Just fitted a Nec AD7173 dvd-writer and i can't drop and drag files to it like i could on my old Nec 3540 writer. Also if i right-click on an item and go to send-to on the list it doesn't appear as a choice. XP says it's installed correctly and there aren't any drivers or firmware to download so i'm a bit stumped!
Have burned downloaded images via nero on it ok though.

XP pro SP2 fully updated.

Hoping someone has an idea

Open 'My Computer' and right-click the drive.

Select 'Properties' then 'Recording' and make sure the box 'Enable CD recording......' is checked.

Unfortunately XP is just not smart enough to enable it by default.
