I've lost my identity :(
Logged onto laptop this afternoon and all my IDs eg for here, banking, email etc have disappeared so that I have to re-enter them, though they are all set to 'remember me'.
Then I find all my 'favourites' have gone too - anyone got a link for Tetris?
Its like someone has just wiped all the history off the machine but no one else has access to it.
No offence but spare me the conspiracy theories please just suggestions based on hard facts.

Possibly someone has gone intointernet properties and clicked "delete cookies" which is where all your passwords etc would be stored. COuld have been clicked by mistake.
As for the favourites, sounds like they have been deleted too. A program called "cleanup 4.0" could do all that but you would have to download it and then run it. I dont think you can delete favourites through internet options, although you could of course delete them from IE itself.
Not the sort of thing you could do by mistake though.

are you sure your logged in as the right person?
If you are, your profile is probabily knackered and windows created a new one for you- as part of an automated recovery.
Try looking in c:\documents and settings\ and see if there two similar usernames in there.
You'll probabily be able to get your favs back - but not your passwords etc
