Im having problems with some hardware and software I have just got
Every time I try to install the (TRUST 5.1 EXTERNAL SURROUND CARD SC-5500P)
I manage to plug the thing in and start to install the software driver and then I get told that cannot install software that sumert is missing so I uninstall then down load the latest driver from their website twice now and get the same problem.
And iv tried to do it in safe mode but still nowt can any one help before I have to throw it at the wall please

Is it USB? If so, as with most USB deivces, you may need to install the driver before you plug it in.
Uninstall everything to do with the card - install the driver first, then it should tell you to plug the cable in at some point.

it says some file is missing and that it carnt install the software so i thought the disc might be foulty so i went on to the web site and down loaded the driver and that did the same not sure what is missing it dosnt say

In that unzipped folder from the driver you downloaded there is a "program" folder, try running the file inside.
If no luck, try updating the driver in Device Manager by pointing it to the "Driver\USB" folder in those files.
Delete everything from c:\temp and c:\windows\temp too.
