Hello

There are various recovery programs around, I use Data Recovery Software - EasyRecoveryâ„¢ Professional - file repair and disk diagnostic software from Ontrack Data Recovery.

You are proberably fighting a losing battle on this one. The reinstallation of windows will have written many files over the top of your old ones.

A good recovery program like the one listed above will certainly let you recover something, the issue is that it will be hard to sort the wheat from the chaff.

Regular backups to a different storage location is a good option once you get going again.
