which OS should i install
I've just gotten a old Shuttle PC (PIII 1.ghz, 512 Ram, 80GB h/d), i primarly want to use this as a server type machine, all i really want to install on it is JBOSS. I'm gonna practice some J2EE work.
The question is, which OS should i install, or does it not really matter.
I was going to stick on WinXP and then also install VMWARE so i could also have some flavour of UNIX on.
The SHuttle does not have a keyboard, mouse. My thoughts were to control is via ULTRA VNC on my main PC (XP Pro) when i need to administer the Windows stuff and/or PuTTY when i need to administer the UNIX/VMWARE stuff.
its been a while since i have done any networking stuff, can i just stick another network cable from the Shuttle into my router and expect to be able to see it from my main PC ?
