I've had a couple go in my kids second PC and after fitting a new one everything has worked OK. I've now fitted an Antec PSU and had no problems since. First time was a cheap and nasty fitted in the case and then a QTec which ain't much better. Get a decent one to save it happening again. Got an Enermax 600w jobbie in my main PC I'm using.

Happy to say that nothing died - Hiper 580w swapped for an Antec 600w and everything works fine.
The extra 20w doesn't help much but it's always nice to know the 8800GTX has spare power waiting

Excellent news! I had an Antec blow after moving house (prob unrelated), and I was chuffed nothing else died.
Not sure I did the right thing and replaced with a Thermaltake, but there we go...

Very lucky, when my last PSU blew (literally again, smoke/fire) it took motherboard, CPU, memory, HDD, mouse, keyboard and even speakers
Cost me £1200 and 3 days to renew everything
