Question Where can I get a PS2 Network Adapter?

As above.

I have finally got my broadband activated and fancy a bit of online gaming.

Can anyone recommend to me where the best/cheapest place to buy one from?

You'll struggle to get one from a reputable retailer as Sony stopped making these some time ago, probably due to the fact that the newer model consoles now have them built in.

Ebay is your best hope.

To be honest i wouldn't waste my money. The online stuff is pretty poor on PS2 especially when you compare it to Xbox and Xbox 360

Too late already ordered.

I haven't got an Xbox or XBox 360 and I don't suppose I will be able to afford a PS3 for a while so I will see how I get on. I have a couple of friends who don't live local and they are also getting an adapter so hopefully we can all get online and have a laugh.

Thats not to bad then if you have people who you know will be on it. I found it pretty hard to find anyone to play against on my cousins as we never knew anyone online and found it hard to find players

Well received my adapter today, got it installed and just had my first online gaming experience playing "Call of Duty 3".

It was pretty good actually. Loads of people online and playing.

Need to sort out a headset now I think. I have one from the game SOCOM but it doesn't seem to work, I can just about hear some voices but they are very faint and mumbled. Is this because the headset is designed to work only with SOCOM (it has a box halfway along the cable with SOCOM logo on it) or can I change some settings?

I have turned the volume right up on the in-game settings and my mate was on the phone to me and he said he could see a logo flashing above my head as if I was transmitting, but he doesn't have a headset to check if I was or not.
