Have you run the tester program on the xbox to tell you where it is getting stuck. Depending on where your stuck I can help but it more than likely you need to give the xbox a static ip address, allow NAT to that ip address and then open some ports on the firewall for that ip address.

Im on AOL with my xbox m8,the trouble i had was going wireless with AOL they put blocks on the bt lines or something just so you would upgrade the package. If you are already wireless with the pc the xbox should pick it,altho have you got a secured connection then you would have to input the code on the xbox set up page then it should pick it up.

Like the other guys said run a connection test to see where it is failing.

If you havent got the wireless adaptor for the xbox your connection must be shared with a ethernet cable, aol customer services are rubbish m8 i wouldnt bother unless you ask to speak to someone in this country.( which is your right by the way )
