Question Moving tunes from iPod

Hi

I have recently had the misfortune of having a Seagate 250 gig stand alone hard drive crash and burn with all the contents lost... PC world couldnt retrieve the data and have 'replaced' the 250 hard drive with a similar Western Digital item

I have some (7 gig) of my music on my stand alone PC on iTunes but far from it all, I have just tried to 'back up' iTunes on the PC with my 30 gig iPod (about 17 gig of music stored on it) but iTunes wont let me,

What am i doing wrong here

I would like to back up the music and have it on more than one device so i dont lose the lot (again)

Cheers Paul
