Has anybody jumped ship to get HD? (ie NTL to Sky)

Try ntl:hell - Join Today For Free! | The UK's #1 independent ntl: resource forum - plenty of info there.

I think some areas (Tyneside but may be wrong) have already got the new boxes.

Personally, if I could get Sky for my TV over NTL I would anyway mate, I think their picture quality is better.

From my experience Sky are just as bad (or maybe even worse) these days. Had a problem with the sky+ box a few weeks ago, so rang them up and was on hold for 3 hours trying to get through, (it's not a freephone number either).

I've got my broadband through NTL, and I've never had as much trouble with them as with Sky...

To be fair, I've had superb (touch wood!) service from their broadband. Always get the speed I should, even with their 10 meg service, and it has only been down for one evening in the last 2 years

I have managed to have trouble with all three (bb, cable and phone at different times!) in the last year

I will concede that their bb does operate at maximum rate most of the time

But I want the sexiness that is pucker epg HD goodness

Ah well, Santa is coming.........
