Anyone on here now on pipex max adsl?

I have had this now for about 3 months and when running a speedtest on Speedtest.net - The Global Broadband Speed Test I get about 6mb download rate during the day... however at night 6pm -10pm the download speed goes from about 1mb to 2mb

I have contacted Pipex today about this and have been advised to run a speedtest on the bt site they have told me to use..

these are my results...

11.32 am - 5819 kbps
16.36 pm - 5916 " "
19.38 pm - 3080 " "
19.50 pm - 3361 " "
20.53 pm - 2932 " "
21.50 pm - 2220 " "

Is this really the case that the max service will only run its best speed when everyone is at work!, or is there something wrong with my line?

Its rate adaptive, plus its contended so the rate will go up and down.

Might be your line mate.

More probable is your exchange is congested like most are these days. BT simply havent put the infrastructure in place to deal with max connections.

I have the same issue. Speeds are cack at peak times, and fast late at night/early morning.
