Default Remote access

Any thoughts on remote access to my pc from work?

I'm running a router, but am just thinking software wise?

I'd use www.logmein.com - it's free and uses an agent on the target machine.

Logmein is awesome.

I also use Hamachi, another logmein product that lets you setup remote lans. It tricks the OS into this by installing a dummy network adapter. Simple and effective.

Hello

As above really. I use http://www.logmein.com and it is great. Not blocked by work yet either.

Ive seen 3 people sacked on the same day. That was on one floor of about 150 people on a site with over 1000 places and the logs were in Hemel Hempstead (and covered three times as many seats). They all thought that they wouldnt get caught too. Two were doing exactly what youre talking about.

I have free access to the internet in work

You dont need to install anything on the machine to access another computer so I dont see the issue

maybe so but it wouldn't hurt to check company policy etc and see if they allow this
