Default Anyone heard of this place

Alter Computers - Mobile phones, digital cameras, lcd, plasma, gaming consoles, laptops, watches, etc.

Friend sent it to me, seems dodgy though.

Google doesn't really show up anything, one scam related post with no replies?

hmm - seems far too good to be true.

Just "ordered" a Wii from them.....

224 Euros (£150) THEN a discount bringing the price down to £137

I smells a rat. A place WITH Wiis available, AND offering discount!!!

Otherwise IF it is true, they'll be getting a lot of my business!

Do you still get stuffed with taxes if you import from EU?

I reckon the worst regarding taxes will be VAT, they're can't be mport duties from the EU I don't think.

The friend who gave me the link just told me that his GF's brother ordered a PSP 2 days ago.
If the PSP arrives and he doesn't get shafted with charges then I'll be ordering stuff from them.

Here's hoping.

It means that the company domain name is owned by someone living in the USA, not Spain.

Well, you can just run whois from a unix machine

Alternatively, there are loads of whois sites on the internet that you can get this information from.

What's the crack if you order with your card and they're fake/you don't get the goods. Wont Visa/Bank give you the money back?

Website not working well and no way to pay, i wouldn't trust it TBH:

I still think your credit card company will protect you.

And yeah, I agree about not trusting it too.
I'm still waiting to see if the PSP which was ordered by a friends friend ever turns up.
Then I'll pass judgement
