Default Non-LLU broadband provider

Moving to an area that doesn't have any LLU'ed exchanges in the vicinity, so anyone recommend either a provider, or somewhere I can get info on different packages?

For those interested, the exchange is here

BT reckon they can do a max of 5MB/s on their 8MB/s option. Want to see what else is around before committing.

Thanks in advance.

That's exactly what I'm doing - from NTL to nowhere...

So what's this LLU then?

(and the 21CN? because my exchange is not being updated until Q2 2009 ) With no cable, wireless, nothing, just ADSL.)

Just got BT Broadband in the end. Getting 4MB/s, which is far better than I thought it would be! Perhaps BT aren't that bad after all.

One snag I had though, for anyone getting BT. When I set up the phone line, I told the guy I was interested in getting broadband, but wanted to look around first.

When I went back to BT, it turns out I have to order broadband at the same time as the line, otherwise, it needs to wait until 48 hrs after the line is live before they can set it up.

Why couldn't the guy have told me that in the first place? Was pushed off numerous times by numerous people, until I asked if I cancelled my phone line and then reordered everything together, would that be okay?

"Of course, Sir". So why didn't this happen with the first monkey I spoke to?
